Submit a clinical case before 11 February 2021(23:59 CET)

Clinical case submission

Do you have examples of interesting clinical cases? ERS encourages the respiratory community to submit clinical cases for congress to support our offering of educational case-based sessions.

This is a great opportunity to share your experiences, have cases presented in front of key opinion leaders in the field and actively contribute to the largest meeting in the respiratory calendar.

Online submission

Online submission via myERS enables you to create an account and save your clinical case. If you already have an account, you will be able to submit your clinical case directly using your myERS credentials.

Once you have logged in, follow the tags: 'Abstracts/Cases' – 'Congress' – 'Access Clinical Cases Platform'. Recommended browsers to access the submission platform are Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.

Before you submit a clinical case, please read carefully the clinical case submission guidelines and instructions.

You may submit up to three cases per disease area, including:

  • Airway diseases
  • Interstitial lung diseases
  • Paediatric respiratory diseases
  • Pulmonary vascular diseases
  • Respiratory critical care
  • Respiratory infections
  • Sleep and breathing disorders
  • Thoracic oncology

When preparing your cases for submission, please structure it using the following sections:

  1. Case history
  2. Investigations
  3. Results and treatment
  4. Conclusions and points for discussion

Notification of selection

In early June, notification of the results will be sent to case submitters and session formats/scheduling of presentations will be communicated for accepted cases by early July. Only the submitter (main author) will serve as main contact for all correspondence on the case.

Programme allocation

The International Congress Programme Committee and case-based session experts will allocate successful clinical cases to session formats, including:

Your submitted case(s) may also be used as part of the wider ERS education programme outside of Congress.
