Q: As ERS Advocacy Council Chair, what are you most looking forward to about this year’s virtual event?

A: Actually, the entire step-change from working with our, by now, far too familiar Zooms and Teams, to going all in for a large all-covering international respiratory Congress, will be thrilling. I think we will look back at ERS 2020 as an event that set a new standard for virtual meetings.

Q: What in your opinion will be the hot topics for COPD specialists during this year's Congress?

A: I have worked with inhaled corticosteroids in COPD for decades, and I will look forward to the State-of-the-art session on airway diseases taking place on Tuesday 8 September at 11:50 CEST.
