Submit clinical cases

ERS is now accepting clinical case submissions for presentation at this year's ERS International Congress. The deadline for submissions is 19 March, 2018.

This is a great opportunity for respiratory professionals to share their experiences and have an active role in the largest meeting in the respiratory field. All respiratory professionals with interesting cases are encouraged to submit a case for consideration.

Submission guidelines, deadline and notification

All case presentations must include a title and the name of the submitter.

Cases must be submitted online via the electronic form, which you can access by signing in with your myERS credentials.

You may submit up to three cases per disease area, including:

  • Airway diseases

  • Respiratory critical care
  • Respiratory infections

  • Thoracic oncology

When preparing your cases for submission, please structure it using the following sections:

  1. Case history
  2. Investigations
  3. Results and treatment
  4. Conclusions and points for discussion

Important: Prior to submission, you are solely responsible for removing any elements that could be used to identify patients.

Please note that by submitting clincial cases you agree to allow ERS to store the cases in our online and offline archives, and you accept that the cases may be used for other ERS activities and future Congresses.

Submitted clinical cases will be reviewed by the ERS International Programme Committee. Notification will be sent to those who have submitted cases in early May.

If your case is accepted, you will be required to submit it in PowerPoint format for presentation. You will then be able to add multiple choice questions and images.
